02 · About the exhibition

Chartres

Chartres en Lumières is France's longest light festival: 21 monuments and sites across the city centre of Chartres are lit every night from nightfall with projection scenographies, including the cathedral.

The 2026-2027 season runs from 11 April 2026 to 3 January 2027, nightly from nightfall.

The walk through the illuminated city can be planned freely; each site has its own projection.

The festival is free to attend; maps and routes at chartresenlumieres.com.
