Phoenix des Lumières
About the exhibition
DortmundPhoenix des Lumières is the permanent digital art center of the Culturespaces group in the former blower hall of Phoenix West in Dortmund, open since 2023.
One historic industrial building, two immersive experiences and four special rooms: the house works like the Ruhr area's answer to Hamburg's Port des Lumières.
The hall of the former blast furnace plant is pure projection surface: meter high walls and floors carry the running shows, currently Klimt Gold und Farbe and Wunderwelt Ozean, plus Matisse from 19 September 2026.
The venue has a bistro, shop, barrier-free access and free lockers. Opening hours vary and are shown at booking.
