Winterlichter Frankfurt

Winterlichter Frankfurt is an evening light trail at the Palmengarten, organized by World of Lights. From 5 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, around 30 illuminated art installations line the park paths, accompanied by music, video projections and interactive light objects.

The festival moves the winter evening into the garden: the Palmengarten at Siesmayerstrasse 61, 60323 Frankfurt am Main, opens daily from 17:00 to 21:00, with last entry at 20:00. Since the whole event takes place in the evening, light is what shapes the visit.

The route follows the paths of the Palmengarten: about 30 illuminated works stand along the way, and music and video projections accompany the individual stations. The darkness of the winter evening is part of the experience.

Several of the light objects are interactive and invite visitors to take part, so the walk alternates between watching and playing. In this way the evening combines a classic stroll through the park with light art, sound and moving images.
