Miniversum Planetarium
02 · About the exhibition
Klagenfurt
The Miniversum Planetarium is the planetarium of Carinthia and stands right beside the Minimundus miniature park in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. It reopened in July 2026 after a renovation and now runs under the operator Minimundus GmbH, equipped with modern fulldome projection technology.
The programme consists of fulldome shows of around 30 minutes: they start at fixed times, take place regardless of the weather and are currently narrated in German. A combination ticket with Minimundus makes it easy to pair a show under the dome with a walk through the miniature park.
A visit follows a simple sequence: you buy your ticket at the Minimundus ticket office, enter five to ten minutes before the show starts and take your seat before the lights go down. The projection stretches across the entire dome, the image surrounds the audience on all sides, and a narrator guides you through the roughly 30 minutes of the show.
Because shows start at fixed times and run in any weather, the planetarium fits into any plan for the day, whether as something to do when it rains or as a complement to a walk through Minimundus. The last show begins one hour before closing, so there is still time for the miniature park beforehand.
- Tickets are sold only at the Minimundus ticket office at Villacher Straße 241.
- Admission costs EUR 9 for adults and EUR 7 for children aged 6 to 15, children under 6 enter for free; the combination ticket with Minimundus costs EUR 25 for adults and EUR 15 for children, groups of 20 or more pay reduced rates.
- Opening hours follow the seasons, with operation from 10:00 to 19:00 in September and from 10:00 to 18:00 in October, and the last show starts one hour before closing.
