Les Baux-de-Provence

The Carrières des Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence is the permanent Culturespaces centre set in ancient limestone quarries in the Alpilles: 7,000 square metres of projection surfaces in underground halls.

The 2026 programme shows Picasso, Art in Motion plus Frida Kahlo, At the Very Heart, Ocean and the short format Les Intégrales.

Shows run as loops across the stone walls and floor of the quarries; image and sound fill the whole hall.

Open daily 9:30-19:00 (September and October); tickets via tickets.carrieres-lumieres.com.
