About the exhibition

Munich

Robotic Worlds at the Pinakothek der Moderne tells the design history of robotics from around 1960 to today, presented by Die Neue Sammlung.

The exhibition runs from 28 November 2025 to 28 November 2027 and is part of the centenary program of the design collection.

The route is laid out as a Fertigungsstrasse, an assembly line concept by OHA Office. Thematic chapters show robots at home, in industry, in rescue, in communication, in care and in research.

Included are humanoid robots from TU Munich around Professor Gordon Cheng, from 1960s toy robots to current machines.
