Silver Egg. Die Sinnlichkeit der Medienkunst is a major ZKM Karlsruhe exhibition about what makes media art physical: light, sound, surface, touch.

It runs from 3 July 2026 to 21 February 2027 and, with the ZKM ticket, can be combined with all other exhibitions in the building.

The ZKM is not a projection museum but a media art center inside a former industrial building: you walk through installations, sound rooms and image worlds rather than a looping show.

Silver Egg gathers works that address senses screens rarely reach. If you like immersive rooms, this is the art movement the whole 360 degree show format grew out of.
