CIVA Festival 2026: postacceleration

CIVA, the Contemporary Immersive Virtual Art festival, returns to Belvedere 21 for its sixth edition: 13 November 2026 to 7 March 2027, under the title postacceleration.

Curated by Eva Fischer together with sound:frame, the exhibition brings together five international positions: Eyez Li, Nolan Oswald Dennis, Kyriaki Goni, Silke Grabinger and Letta Shtohryn.

postacceleration asks what happens to us when acceleration has become the default setting, the permanent condition of an entire society. The five works resist logics of optimization and dominant notions of time, interrupting them with alternative narratives and practices of resonance. Discursive formats, film screenings and live performances accompany the exhibition.
