About the exhibition
MadridKlimt, la Experiencia Inmersiva is the running immersive Klimt show by MAD at Matadero Madrid, with a VR add-on.
Gustav Klimt, the central figure of the Vienna Secession, is the epitome of golden Art Nouveau; the show sets The Kiss, Judith and the pattern worlds of his paintings in motion.
The main show projects Klimt's work on a large scale with music; the VR add-on goes deeper into single episodes of his imagery. Given MAD's rotating model, the show is expected to make way for the new autumn productions: see it while it runs in summer 2026.
With La Triada Inmortal at Nomad and MAD's shows, Madrid currently has the densest selection of immersive art formats in Spain.
