About the exhibition
BerlinThe Festival of Lights Berlin turns ten October evenings into projection canvases across the city's landmarks: Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, the TV Tower and other buildings carry light art under the 2026 theme Colours of Love.
The 22nd edition runs 9 to 18 October 2026; Berlin Cathedral hosts an accompanying concert series from 13 to 17 October with Alle Farben, Klangkarussell and Westbam.
You experience the festival on foot or with guided tours: the installations sit in public space, free and visible around the clock, with peak moments in the evening hours. Video mapping at this scale only works live: the facades become screens and the architecture itself takes the lead role.
Popular spots like Brandenburg Gate get crowded on festival nights: for quiet shots go early or late on weekdays.
