Illuseum Berlin
02 · About the exhibition
Berlin
The Illuseum Berlin stands at Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 9, near Alexanderplatz, and is a permanent interactive museum of illusions. It presents itself as the first museum to combine ocean conservation with illusions, optical tricks, modern technologies and immersive art, and it is operated by Verwunderei GmbH.
The programme centres on immersive rooms where you step into the scene yourself: illusions to test with your own eyes, optical tricks and effects built on modern technologies. Because everything invites participation, a visit is less about objects behind glass and more about trying, comparing and working out how the trick is done.
Inside, immersive rooms and optical illusions follow one another: you move through the spaces, change your point of view and feel your perception wobble as modern technology shifts what you see. Many effects give away their secret only at a second glance or when you try them yourself, so the visit rewards taking your time.
The programme also includes weekly magic events and holiday workshops, so a walk through the museum can be combined with a live event. The venue opens daily and stays open longer on Friday and Saturday. Part of the ticket revenue goes to environmental projects, in line with the museum's ocean conservation theme.
- Opening hours are daily: Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00.
- Pricing is dynamic and depends on the date and time slot; online tickets are cheaper than buying on site, and exact amounts appear in the official shop only after you select a visit date.
- Discounts apply to children, students up to 27, seniors 65+, visitors with disabilities and groups; booking online is recommended.
