About the exhibition
BerlinDas Universum zum Anfassen (The Universe at Your Fingertips) is the interactive astronomy exhibition in the foyer of the Zeiss-Grossplanetarium in Berlin: tactile, barrier-free and free of charge.
The format addresses anyone who wants something touchable before or after a dome show: meteorites to hold, models to operate, experiments with light and gravity.
The exhibition translates abstract astronomy into physical experience. You hold real meteorites, weigh yourself on other planets and grasp the scales of the solar system through models rather than numbers.
As a free area of the building it works perfectly as an add-on to a show visit or as a short programme with children.
