Unstable Media in the 21st Century

Unstable Media in the 21st Century brings highlights of the new media collection of the Centre Pompidou to the Galerie der Gegenwart of the Hamburger Kunsthalle from 20 November 2026.

About 40 works in eight chapters trace the development of media art to 2 May 2027.

The exhibition gathers video, light and sound based positions from one of Europe's most important collections of new media. In the Galerie der Gegenwart it becomes a parcours through four decades of technology-dependent art.
