Christmas Garden Hamburg
02 · About the exhibition
Hamburg
The Christmas Garden Hamburg turns the Loki-Schmidt-Garten, the city's botanical garden, into an illuminated evening landscape. A redesigned circular route leads through the grounds in Hamburg-Osdorf past light installations, projections and music. The season runs from 13 November 2026 to 10 January 2027.
The venue is the garden grounds at Ohnhorststraße 18, directly opposite Klein Flottbek S-Bahn station. The trail is laid out as a loop through the botanical garden, and the atmosphere comes from the interplay of darkness, light and music.
A visit is an evening walk: the garden opens at dusk, and the loop then passes illuminated installations, with projections and music along the way. The route has been redesigned for the event and follows the paths of the botanical garden.
The season stretches from late autumn through Christmas into January, so a visit works both over the holidays and around the turn of the year. On selected dates the Family Days offer tickets at EUR 39.50.
