About the exhibition

Hamburg

The Paradox Museum Hamburg brings more than 50 interactive illusion exhibits into the city centre: rooms that tilt, sizes that deceive, and installations that make you part of the trick.

Unlike a classical museum, photography is explicitly welcome here: every exhibit is built as a photo scene.

You move through stations such as the Ames room, infinite mirror corridors and anamorphic paintings that reveal their image only from one exact angle. Panels between the stations explain the perceptual psychology at work, from contrast principles to perspective illusions.

The concept comes from an international museum chain with locations in several cities; the Hamburg branch sits centrally and works well as a bad weather programme.

Good to know
